The BD-Live format (interactive content via connectivity to an external content provider e.g. via the Internet) which is available on Profile 2 Blu-ray Players is gaining traction at a frenetic rate:

Lionsgate is building a name for itself as a Blu-ray leader with early BD-Live releases of ‘War’ and ‘Saw IV’.

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has recently announced that ‘Sleeping Beauty’ will be released in BD-live format on Oct. 7. Disney also stated that ‘all forthcoming Disney-branded Blu-ray releases would include BD Live elements’.

July 21st sees Sony Pictures release ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ on Blu-ray with Dolby TrueHD audio and BD-Live access.
